The lack of communication from the DOE when you have a problem code while still working for them is absurd.

A friend of mine has been signing up for ASPDP courses and suddenly has been unable to access the system within the last week. They contacted the DOE and were told that they can’t access it because they are now problem coded, yet they have been at their school teaching. They went to their principal and apparently students complained about them and the matter was kicked to OEO. I imagine any teacher under investigation is automatically problem coded pending the outcome, but it’s a bit absurd to not inform the teacher about this. And OEO has a reputation for taking forever and a day to get things done.

What if you had no idea you were being investigated by them and had the intention to transfer schools because of your current toxic environment, and you suddenly can’t because there was some complaint about you that was never brought to your attention?

What if you are trying to take courses by the DOE to make more money down the road only to find out no one communicated with you that you may be in trouble?

I understand they may not want to inform the teacher about details because they don’t want the teacher to tamper with anything should they be guilty, but there’s gotta be some better system.
