How in the absolute hell to you beat the MacKinnon TOTY moment?

I’ve tried this 25+ times: setting up MacK on the cycle for a 1T, forcing a cross crease, nothing works. What’s the secret?

Normally I’d quit, but my OCD won’t let me not have a multiple of 5 in collectibles (I have 19 and finished everything else), and I also really hate myself so apparently enjoy subjecting myself to this.
