Northeastern Army ROTC

I feel like a lot of people don't know how great of an ROTC program Northeastern has, and I just thought this might be a good place to let people know in case you've ever thought about it! Especially for all the newly admitted students!

Northeastern is the host school of Liberty Battalion, which includes Boston College, Suffolk University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Berklee College of Music, Emmanuel College, Emerson College, MCPHS, Framingham State, Regis, Simmons University and a few more.

ROTC is a great opportunity to make friends in Boston, and there are tons of scholarship opportunities! About 75-85% of Cadets have a full tuition scholarship by the time they graduate. NEU also gives 20% of tuition on top of the ROTC scholarship to help pay for room and board. On top of that, you also get $400 a month in stipends and a $600 book stipend at the start of each semester after you contract. Do you want to go to something like medical school or law school? There are also opportunities to get that paid for through the Army!

You'll get great leadership opportunities and even classes (that are super easy) that can count towards your gpa! If you decide you like it and want to commit to it, you'll be guaranteed either a full time or part time job for at least 4 years. There are a bunch or different jobs to choose from, anything from HR to Finance to Cyber jobs are available. Once you graduate, you'll have free health insurance, a retirement plan, and money to cover costs of living wherever you may be.

If you're interested at all or even just want to learn more, they are willing to talk to anybody about information and how it works, and if you join and decide it's not for you, you can leave at anytime!

Please PM me if you're interested at all! I just really want to see more students be aware of this opportunity!

Edit: I’ll answer any PMs, but if you want to have a sit down conversation or even just a phone call to explain anything in more detail, please email [email protected]!! He’s the enrollment and recruiting officer and he’s super great and would have no issue explaining anything, even if at the end you decide it’s not for you!!
