The emphasis on freshmen being noticeably worse than seniors is underrated.

It'll make the super elite HS recruits really feel like it. A freshman coming in and making an instant impact is NOT that common , especially outside the power 5.

Wear and tear will also incentivise putting the second and third string guys in during garbage time to get them some reps.

This will help give character to the players, and also make you sad to see some guys leave.

Itll also create a bond between you (the coach) and players who decide to stick around for four years.

You see people complain about irl coaches leaving the less talented seniors in over the Uber talented freshman players all the time.

It'll be nice struggling with that.

Like, this senior WR is average at best BUT he doesn't get rattled, he runs his routes perfectly, has all the fundamentals. And this freshman you just recruited is explosive , has the ability to burn any DB in the SEC, but makes boneheaded plays and forgets plays.

All of this serves immersion and depth.

Discuss with me , I won't make it to July.
