Why is it okay to kill house lizards

I'm trying to understand why it's considered acceptable to kill house lizards based on the Hadith I read, which states that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said it is permissible to kill them. However, I struggle with the reasoning behind this. House lizards are not venomous, nor are they toxic, except for some claims related to the story of Ibrahim.

I can see why it makes sense to kill other animals that pose a threat, such as ravenous dogs, venomous snakes, mice, rats, or scorpions, but I find it difficult to apply the same logic to lizards. I'm genuinely seeking clarity on this issue, especially regarding the authenticity of the Hadith.

Also, I thought that Hadith and the Quran should align with each other. So, is it still acceptable if someone chooses not to kill a lizard for no particular reason? Is it considered haram? I'm just trying to make sense of it all.
