investment transaction sync now! ...but are... negative income? App is broken
Longtime Mint user, 15 years, 10k transactions. Spent a few days back in Nov working on swapping over due to the imminent Mint shutdown. Seemed ok until I realized the Sankey diagram is basically broken for any investment transactions (manually added). Thought "ok, lots of people coming on board, they're swamped, let's give it a chance."
4-5 months later...investment transaction sync...but are totally broken, in new and different ways! Now they sync, but even when classified as "income" they are negative numbers. Here's the totally-nonsensical Sankey diagram it generated: Paychecks plus (negative) 401k contributions = income. Actual saving/investment rate is ~45%, but you'd never know from Monarch.
At this point my patience is growing thin, but Mint shuts down in a week... I don't mean to sound rude, but Mint, Empower, etc handled this correctly, for free, for a decade... I don't understand the struggle? Is there a timeline for this working correctly? Is there something I'm doing wrong?
I understand investment transitions are a beta feature, however Monarch advertises itself as a "big picture dashboard" that can handle basics like this. u/jon_at_monarch
