Why some travel YouTubers make it and some others don't?

I watch bald and a couple hours for 5-6 years now, even smaller ones.

Bald was definitely one of the first ones and many others came after trying to copy him or do similar stuff. Some succeeded, some didn't.

There is 1 guy I watch who is under 7K followers and most of his videos get only 1000-5000 views. He is also super social, goes to super dangerous places and has absolutely authentic conversations with locals.

It's top notch content. Been following him for 1 year and I was like this guy puts so much effort into the videos and yes he is growing but super slow even tho he makes 10 times better content than most people in that niche.

So it's not just effort and skill but also luck?
