Aettustupa Runes - is there more to why Dan didn't land his jump?

I had a request to make a post about the meanings of the rune stones shown during the Ättestupa and I think I noticed some cool stuff upon translating them (I referenced Elder Futhark text)...

I feel like Ylva's rune stone represents the life views that Siv explains to Simon & Connie when she tries to calm them down (She says "we view life as a circle" and speaks about gifts being given and taken. She actually even mentions Yliv during this explanation). Yliv's stone also has exactly nine runes (9 being a sacred number in Norse) and what really caught my eye is the literal circle drawn around her runes on her stone.

It almost feels lile Yliv lived the "perfect" Hårga life and completed her circle... and so her jump/sacrifice was a breeze. Dan's stone seems incomplete to me compared to hers. At first I think I was overanalyzing it and now I'm thinking that whole scene was explained to us as it occurred.

Has anybody else ever wondered if Dan's jump was trash because he didnt complete the circle/his journey wasn't complete?
