Thoughts on Christian metalcore?

As someone that doesn't identify as Christian, and as someone that has no problem listening to overtly Satanic black metal, I'm just curious to know what everyone else thinks of Christian metalcore. I've found over the years that I'm drawn to Christian metalcore bands, some of my favorites being: Phinehas, Wolves at the Gate, Silent Planet, Convictions, Comrades, War of Ages, Earth Groans, August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada. I know they might not all identify as Christian bands. But what are your thoughts on bands that used the Christian label, only to abandon it (i.e. Underoath, Gideon, I, the Breather) vs. bands that have stayed true?
