Buying from Mercari US in Europe

Hello, I live in Europe and really want to buy something from the Mercari US store (not the Japanese one). I've looked at quite a few proxies but have seen bad reviews and don't really know how to do it. Does anyone have trips and tricks? I want the things for a Christmas present :(
