iMac 17.1 cannot detect internal SSD
Hi all, would like to some advice here as I may have some hardware issue with my iMac 17,1. I installed sequoia and it worked fine since the release. Yesterday it freezes when I leave the weather app open, I have to hard restart. After which it cannot boot anymore. Under recovery mode in disk utility I don’t find the internal ssd, however after reset NVRAM it boots into bootscamp partition (windows) and everything works there. As soon as I boot into Mac OS it randomly freezes and after which I got the same symptom that internal disk is gone. Restarting multiple times + reset NVRAM SMC I can occasionally get it to boot to Windows. Inder Windows I checked SMART data of the SSD it shows all green. So I don’t know what could cause all this, if it’s a matter of faulty ssd I can replace it or just ignore and continue with external ssd. However I’m more worried about something to do with MB as SSD seems healthy according to SMART data. Has anyone experienced similar?
