Balloonerism Jacket I Made

DeathWorks 1of1 Mac Miller Balloonerism Jacket

Cut and sewn from scratch by me from thrifted denim jeans. patchwork face based off Alim Smith's original artwork on the official album cover. face alone took 21 hours to do, I used 13 different colors of fabric, 11 colors of thread, and 3 types of stitches to make the wonky, jagged, fabric ensemble visage. rest of the jacket is entirely covered in sashiko さしこ japanese hand stitching, over a cloudy sky fabric layered on top of the left over face fabrics and then hand distressed to reveal the layers and colors.

Fyi this project is just fan art, and isn't made in affiliation with anyone in the Mac camp! However!! As most of y'all know, I am a massive Mac Miller fan. This Balloonerism album is a lost album he worked on between 2013 and 2014, during the period between his albums watching movies with the sound off and faces; undoubtedly my two favorite albums of his. Music from a time that coincided with my owwnn artistic and experimental roots growing in my mid teens. Mac was one of the few artists that was making ALBUMS. One of the artists who can create a whole world and bring you into it with just your headphones on laying in your bed. I'm beyond excited to here the album and experience it with all y'all! Hope u like the jacket. MOST DOPE THATS FOREVER
