Parents think he has bad intentions

Hi there I’m 19 and I live in Canada me and my boyfriend of almost a year him from Nepal but studying in Canada want to meet for the first time I brought it up that I will go to him since i haven’t been out of Canada for since I was 14 but when I brought it up to my parents they went balistic saying how he may have bad intentions, threatening me that if I go police will be called even though me and him already have a plan of a airbnb and borrowing a car from his friend and keep in mind they are going off what they assume not what they know about him (he’s the sweetest guy ever btw real gentleman) keep in mind we’ve been planning this for months now how do I convince my parents that he’s not some serial killer lol
