Is it likely that the laptop I'm planning to buy from Lenovo has already been purchased but then returned by someone else?!?

I am planning on buying a specific laptop, from the Lenovo UK website.

They had a big sale on these laptops over the past 2-3 weeks (*which I sadly missed) :: But now have extremely limited stock left showing on their website.
(Most models have vanished entirely from the website)

The specific laptop model that I want was amongst those that vanished entire off their website (for 3-4 days)...
But then on day 5#, that model laptop re-appeared on their website.
(Although it's now back at full-price ^ £700 higher than the sale-price / Plus there appears to be only 1 unit physically available, as if you try adding 2+ to your basket, it shows as being out of stock for that quantity)

But so whilst I am 'pleased' that after after having spent 3-4 days hoping they would re-stock this model - They now have...
Given that there is literally only 1 of this laptop physically available in their warehouse, it appears that they haven't actually ''restocked'' after selling-out during the sale || Instead they only have this one back in-stock because someone purchased it, opened & used it, but then for whatever reason chose to return it back to Lenovo.

This may sound 'paranoid' of me :: But can there logically be any other explanation apart from that as to why 1 model would suddenly of magically resumed being available in-stock, after all sold-out 1-week ago?
