Card collecting is really slow

Been playing for two weeks on a fresh account since my last one got Lost and I still don't have any champion wildcards or enough shards to make a whole deck and I wanted to get a day one deck for the new expansion and it's really not fun playing the game with the beginner decks.does anyone else feels the same and what's the fastest way to get cards? Am I doing something wrong?
