Reverse taper pots
Just a tip for the fellow lefties. Im a lefty luthier. Any pots can be wired mirror image to make them “left handed” but have you ever noticed how uneven the sweep is on even high end left handed guitars? For 30 years of playing lefty volume and tone knobs were essentially on or off, with very little controllable in the middle. I always assumed there was something wrong with my ears or my amps. A few years ago I learned about reverse taper pots. They wire the same as any pots in your left handed guitars, but they actually work the way they are supposed to! It sounds like a gimmick, but it’s not, a lot of luthiers even in reputable shops have never heard of them. New pots are the best way to make an old guitar sound awesome again. I don’t sell them or make them, but this is a screen show of a reverb search for “reverse taper pots”. Don’t let someone tell you they aren’t real, or don’t make a difference. Order them yourself and have someone else install them if you have to. You can have awesome controllable tone and volume knobs! Go forth lefty’s!
