Peugeot 208 2024

I am making this post to help new or learner drivers in an event something happens like it did to me.

I got the new peugeot 208 as my first car in April and passed my test in may.

About a week after passing my test it started presenting issues on the dash but when peugeot were running diagnostics it wasnt showing any fault codes. I took it as okay it must just be glitching out. So I went to asda for my grocery shopping and before I park I’m met with amber messages telling me theres an engine fault and it needs repaired.

I called peugeot dealership and told them, they took the car in for 2 weeks and told me nothing was wrong. The day I got the car back it presented faults again and I was wearing my go-pro so I took the car back showed them the footage they kept it another month, they replaced the gear box, radiator and something to do with the hybrid element.

Got the car back less than 10 hours later its presenting faults AGAIN. Now peugeot have accepted that particular model matches VSC number for recall.

Just wanted to let new or learner drivers know to check your cars make and model for recall as its not widely public information for some cars and brands.
