The weakest plotline

Cooper and the widow are the weakest plotline. It doesn't make much sense in the first place for Cooper to even be involved with her if he is so dead set on his dream of being successful in the oil business. He literally goes against friends and family to be with her. Once she, for some reason, took him home like a sad puppy from the hospital, I knew it was going to be one of those generic star crossed lover plot points.

Not only that, they are just boring as hell. "Oh poor me" "We shouldn't do this" "I don't know what this is" "I love you" give me a break you dramatic fools. I get they are trying to show that she needs him emotionally and he needs her physically but it's just so lazy and overdone.

If anything I was rooting for the damn attorney when she was trying to get them to sign the contract for the 250 which is fair when you sign up for an oil job that pays for the hazard but you still bang on a pipe wrench near gas with a hammer. Yeah, it's sad but you violated protocol.

Oh and final point, as someone of Mexican decent, we don't serve super spicy food to guests constantly just to see them suffer through a meal. Sure maybe you grabbed some of the hot salsa at a pot luck(the original joke) but why the fk is she constantly making uncomfortably spicey foods for greasy Cooper even after the fact lmao.
