My hair my decisions

I am a married woman,techie in Kochi .I have short hair .I don’t like to grow long hair but my Mother-in-Law and FIL fighting with me to grow long hair .One day when i get a short hair cut with front bangs my husband said that his parents may grt angry for my hair cut.Is it normal?What should i do? My husband is not supporting me in my decisions.His parents have old mindset they want women to be like slave of men.
