Opinion on Kochi to Hyderabad travel by bus/train
Hi guys, needed a little help with your opinion on a situation.
So I am planning to move to Hyderabad. Will not be returning for another 3 months, and hence, there'll be considerable luggage for me. 2 huge suitcases and a big backpack is what I'm estimating. I'll have to go my January mid. So I have 2 options. Train or bus. Flight is not an option because of the luggage I am guessing. So sharing my concerns on both modes of travel. Please do let me know what you think would suit me better.
Train : A bit concerned how I'll manage the luggage, from entering with huge luggage, to getting off and travelling there. Also, I'm always a bit paranoid about the trains in regards to safety. Since I'm travelling alone and no-one would probably be there to drop me off, a bit concerned there. Also idk how it'll be since its the Sabarimala season. Planning to take an AC coach btw. 2A probably. What do you guys think? Would probably cost me around 3k for this and take 24-28hrs time
Bus : Luggage concern only. I am guessing it'll be easier to board, but will they permit these big ones? I saw somewhere that they'll charge for more than 2 bags. If so how will it be? How safe are buses till Hyderabad? And how'll the comfort of travel be ? Including the restroom breaks and everything? I've never gone this long on a bus so i am totally on the dark regarding this. I've come to Kochi from Mangalore and that was manageable for me. Probably will taking the sleeper AC ones costing 3k and take 20-24 hrs. Also please mention any major things i should look out for while booking tickets.
Please do let me know. I did ask around in my circle but nobody i know has gone by bus and I'm really confused.
