Thinking of Sardinia with our 9 month old-recommendations please?

Thinking of travelling to Sardinia around June time with our LO who will be 9 months old .. I heard the train ride is good fun and they have beautiful beaches? (unless you can recommend somewhere else in Italy? But not Roma, Firenze, Napoli Scalea , Sicilia, Milano or Venezia ) Thank you in advance !
