Cannibalizing Armand

• “The drop”: in the show happens between Lestat and Louis, in the books it happens between Armand and Lestat. Armand cannot handle the rejection and humiliation of having to lead the TDV, so he is extremely cruel and dismissive to Lestat-  Even worse, in S02 they ignore Armand, and make the whole tower scene about Louis and Lestat, Armand, according to this narrative, is just a pawn. (This could be reframed in s03, and I hope it will, otherwise, it makes no sense

• The “Vampire Capitalist”. Louis has never in the books shown a tendency to make money. Armand wanted to be a rich human. He traded and used archeological artifacts to make money, and was obsessed with planes. But in the show they make it a Louis thing. 

So, I understand why a show that tries to focus on Lestat and Louis would cannibalize other characters, but what is your opinion?
