After Care Pain :(

Hello all, I’m officially on one week of ingrown toenail surgery and I’m having a really hard time. I had surgery to remove both sides of one of my big toe, and I believe he used a chemical to kill whatever was down there. However today while doing my aftercare I was in so much pain I needed to stop. The after care in question was a 10/15 minute soak in Epson salt twice a day, then change the dressing. I was able to do it successfully this morning but tonight when I did it I could not make it through the 10 minute soak. My nail bed and wound felt like it was burning every time I tried. I am on the verge of tears!! Any idea how I can fix this? Any ideas on where I went wrong? It still hurts and throbs after being out but omg!!!!!!!
