What plants would grow well here permanently?

Large south/SE facing window to the right. Don't mind the dead plants, I was busy taking care of a newborn and they suffered the consequences 😅. Also, they have drainage holes, so I need a solution to catching the water as it drains through that is not just setting a bowl underneath them. There's stairs directly behind them, and a very short platform directly underneath that doesn't allow enough space for a bowl to sit. Any ideas?
