Should I paint before move-in?
I'm moving into a new apartment in about 12 days and when I picked up the keys the manager mentioned they didn't mind if we painted as long as we painted it back before we moved out. I feel like I've lived in nothing but plain beige apartments for so long now, and this is the first time I'll be in a place long enough that it seems worth painting. My favorite colors generally fall in a darker teal/blue, but I don't want to make the space seem smaller. Especially since it's in the PNW and doesn't get a lot of natural light for much of the year.
I'm wondering if I should just leave it as is, paint the whole living room, or just paint an accent wall/s (I've numbered the walls in case someone wants to tell me which would make the best accent wall/s). The first 2 photos are from the apartment listing and they clearly waited until it was a bright sunny day out, which again isn't the case for a lot of the year in this area. The 3rd picture is how it normally looks, kind of a light-ish gray. 4th pic is two of my favorite colors.
I'm also just wondering if it's insane to add one more thing to my to-do list for next 12 days as I'm still finishing packing and whatnot. Is this a project I could comfortably do if I had an entire day to devote to it?
