Does anyone here have any ideas for new vehicles and/or upgrades to new and existing ones?
I'll share mine first. First I want to bring back all the old stuff such as the bastion, the apc, the hammer cycle, and equivalent to the Obsidian and lumberer exo's.
As for new vehicles I think that while the bastion is iconic it is described as a "fairly model tank destroyer" which according to my limited knowledge about tanks are essential the rank equivalent to snipers. So having the bastion be spealized to drive in quick blast unsuspecting enemy armor to pieces and getting out while still having enough armor to take a few hits that the enemy manages to pop off would be a great way to reintroduce this classic.
This would also allow the game to add even more types of super earth armor. I think a pretty standard mbt with one player acting as a gunner, one as the driver, and one as the machine gun operator would be great for team play and give you that authentic take crew experience.
Adding something similar to edfs armored railguns would be fun and having a fun escort mission where you guide an ultra heavy "landship" style tank towards a target where it blasts apart everything would be funny and watching it crush chargers, enemy tanks and harvesters under it's treads would be badass!
As for naval craft I think that they would only be needed on certain worlds and would act more like objectives similar to the artillery, Sam or silo than anything else with maybe a small speed boat the player can all in to travel across larger bodies of water or other liquids.
I'd also like to add an exosuit that focuses on laser weapons that would avoid the problems with most vehicles in game of running out of ammo like it has a laser cannon on one arm and a quasr cannon on the other but the trade off would be weaker armor than most other exosuits.
And speaking or exosuit armor I think that it is high time we got some way to upgrade our vehicles! (And maybe even our other tools as a way give some more endgame rewards) some funny ones like the one that shortens the arrival time is just the crew actually getting the manual they needed to have in the first place, the stragem laucher was a literaly just a tee shirt Canon thar was haphazardly welded on, the ammo increase forces the pilot to operate the exosuit in the fetal postion, the one that let's you buy new alternative weapons for the exos and other vehicles and gives them new ammo types is just them remembering where they put those things in the first place! And so on and so forth.
Also one last thing. I think they should add a system that allows you to buy parts for your vehicles that essentially act as boosters for you rides!
