What is the process for recovering refrigerant from near-empty jugs to a recovery tank?

Title. I’m a newer tech, and my boss wants me to recover a bunch of jugs that other techs dropped off at the shop. I haven’t done it before, and just want to make sure I’m doing this right.

If I’m not mistaken, the process is to hook up both ends of the tank to be recovered to my gauges, hook the IN side of the recovery pump to my middle hose, and hook the OUT side of the pump to the vapor line of the recovery cylinder.

Then, open both valves on the tank to be recovered, start the machine, open the liquid line on manifold, purge the hose to the recovery tank of air, and open the vapor valve on the recovery tank.

Once it’s fully recovered (I don’t think my recovery pump automatically turns off when it starts pulling a vacuum, I’ll have to figure that out as I only have one scale), fully open both manifold valves, turn off recovery machine, and purge the recovery machine.

If I messed anything up, or if yall have any pointers, please let me know.
