About Gundams in the C.E.

I've seen some series like Gundam Wing and Gundam 00 to treat Gundams as dangerous threats, when i watched Gundam SEED ans SEED Destiny I wondered, why in the C.E. treats Gundams as regular Mobile Suits instead of some kind of threat like the series i've mentioned before? (I've been wondering this a long time ago since in the C.E. the terminology Gundam was rarely used in the series, to the point of being mentioned just twice in SEED Destiny just to be unmentionable in Stargazer and Freedom).
