Where to begin?

Hi everyone,

I come to everyone in this community humbly asking for help. I’ve been playing guitar for a decade, and I can play all the flash technical stuff, but in all honesty I have no idea what I’m playing and I’m going by ear. I want to be able to know what I’m doing on the guitar, any advice where to start? I know lessons, but I don’t have the funds for any lessons. It’s like I can play most things note for note with good technique and make it sound good but again it’s frustrating to not know what I’m doing or properly convey original ideas. Thanks!
