Upper Yard

So I recently finished the oak, pond, hedge, haze, and black ant labs. I found the upper yard ascent and I’ve explored a bit of the upper yard, but I’m having a hard time figuring out what I need to do to continue making progress in the game. What do I need to do to get level 3 weapons and armor? Any tips?
