R as daily?

So I have an '19 A4, which is really kids hauler (only kids) and commute car, I am coming up on 80k miles, which is when I like to trade in for another car. I am really lost to what I would get, so asking for everyone's opinion here on the Golf R '25 (when those are out). I like a sporty car (not tracking, just driving a little spiritedly on my commute for some grins) and something that's able to fit car seats since I drop off and pick up from daycare.

I had previous '08 A4 and a '15 GTI. And while the GTI was nice, it was definitely not premium and had slight low quality issues (inside of fenders nor painted, you can visibly see from door, buttons inside started peeling after 3-4 years, rear seat plastics are VERY hard and cheap for example). So I am wondering if the 8.5 gen R is better/closer to an Audi?

I am totally lost on what to buy, I will not be using R for intended purpose, but I want AWD, somewhat fun, and preferably a hatch (but not SUV). I'm also kinda bothered that I will probably never put it in drift mode or change DCC settings :D:D Also, I am thinking if I pay a little more I'll get a much "nicer" car that isn't as sporty (think A4 again?!)

Thoughts? what would you do in my shoes (budget can stretch to 60k). I know this group has a bias, but figured VAG folks are always helpful :)
