Gnosia Games Deluxe: Starting Sunday Night

Why is it Deluxe?

This installment of the Gnosia Games will work more closely to the original video game. All characters will be secretly and randomly assigned roles from the game. Instead of rooting for your favorite character, you’ll be trying to save the Crew by finding and freezing the Gnosia.

Or, if you’re a jerk, you can try to go for a bad ending and help the Gnosia kill all the humans. Treachery can be fun too.

I wanted to make this post early so I can be as transparent as possible about the rules and how they work.

In Round 1, many of the characters who have special roles will reveal themselves. You will use this information to help choose who to freeze. After you freeze someone, the Gnosia will randomly kill someone.

The next day, results will come in from the Engineers and Doctors and you will use this info to help freeze another person, etc. So the gameplay loop will work similarly to the actual video game.

Here are the special roles and how they work in Gnosia Games Deluxe.

Guard Duty - 2 characters who are definitely Crew. - Leave them alone if you want Crew to win, or kill them if you want Gnosia to win - Win if all Gnosia are put in cold sleep

Engineer - After a character is put in cold sleep, a die is rolled to see which living character is examined (not including themselves, Guard Duty or those already examined). - The next day, declares the examined character’s status as Human or Gnosia - Win if all Gnosia are put in cold sleep

Doctor - After a character is put in cold sleep, the Doctor examines the character just frozen - The next day, declares the examined character’s status as Human or Gnosia - Win if all Gnosia are put in cold sleep

Guardian Angel - Unlike in the first Gnosia Games, voters do not choose who the Guardian Angel saves - If the Guardian Angel is still alive, and the Gnosia attacks someone other than the Guardian Angel or the Bug, a 4 sided die is rolled - If the die lands on 1, the Gnosia attack fails - Cannot protect themselves from Gnosia attack - Win if all Gnosia are put in cold sleep

Gnosia - There are 3 of them now! - Can pretend to be Engineer or Doctor - Will lie to protect each other - After a character is put in cold sleep, a die is rolled to see which character is killed (not including Gnosia.) - Win if number of humans becomes equal or less than number of Gnosia

AC Follower - A human on the Gnosia team - Can pretend to be Engineer or Doctor - Lies at random because they don’t know who the Gnosia are - Win if still alive when the Gnosia win

Bug - Considered human - Can pretend to be Engineer or Doctor - Lies at random - Cannot be killed by the Gnosia - If examined by the Engineer, they die - If still alive when Crew or Gnosia gain victory, the Bug becomes sole winner and destroys the universe
