I attended the Ghosts panel at NYCC, here's what happened + spoilers for season 4

I was blessed to be at the NYCC Ghosts panel this year so I thought I'd share some highlights!

First, some things that happened;

  • We saw an advance screening of next week's episode in which Sam's dad visits. We also see in this episode a new ghost power.

  • Rose McIver (Sam), Brandon Scott Jones (Issac), Sheila Carrasco (Flower), and Román Zaragoza (Sass) appeared. They all looked fab. Asher Grodman (Trevor) was suppose to appear too, but he is sick apparently. I hope he gets well soon. <3

  • After the panel started, a runner came up to the host and gave him some sort of paper with information on it. They elaborated that it was instructions for the host + cast not to mention something anymore. There was some sort of "surprise" they had for us, but it fell through apparently. Darn!

Here are things they shared about what will happen this season. Obviously, spoilers ahead!

  • Rose McIver is set to direct an episode this season

  • Flower and Sass will share a scene/story for the first time ever with just the two of them

  • we'll get more of Sass' love life and learn more about him as a person

  • Alexander Hamilton will appear (via flashback i believe) and we'll learn exactly why Issac has beef with him

  • the restaurant will open this season + we'll learn its name

  • jay's parents will visit for christmas

  • the halloween special will be the most "magical" they've gotten

  • in the halloween special, there is a "witch trial" in which the ghosts "betray" Sam. it's spearheaded by Patience, and Issac also jumps on it because according to Brandon, Issac "likes to swoop in when there's an opportunity to seize leadership".

  • there will be a "double possession" this season (they did not elaborate on what this means exactly)

And this doesn't fit in any of the categories, but I thought it was a really fun piece of BTS so I'll share it here too; Rose shared that Betsy Sodaro (Nancy) has a fun backstory she made up for her character to explain her accent; Betsy theorizes some guy who sounded like that came down and was fixing the boiler and Nancy mimicked him to perfection because she was bored.

EDIT: omg, can’t believe I almost forgot, but Rose will show off her tap dancing skills this season. I personally can’t wait to see that!
