I am a bit confused on pyro traveler

Lore wise how does this make sense, before we got the elements from the statue, now our sheer determination gave us pyro, how does that even work? is that an attempt to foreshadow some power related to fighting will (specifically that whole creation destruction prosperity and fate thingy for a descender?)
