How long to heal? (gastritis, hiatal hernia, esophagitis)

Hi everyone,

I got diagnosed with mild non erosive gastritis, type 2 hiatal hernia and grade c esophagitis 3 weeks ago (no biopsies were taken which makes me nervous) but I wanted to see how long it takes to heal? I’m still seeing tiny amount of blood streaked in my saliva and dark stools. The dr mentioned i had small cuts in my esophagus due to the reflux and this could be the cause of my dark stools. Since my procedures i have only had one incident of black stool but still occasionally see black specks mixed into my poop. I’m trying to not freak out and follow my treatment plan (nexium 40mg twice a day and carafate) but wanted to see if anyone had similar experiences?
