Gpu performance issues from Christmas laptop

Hello everyone! As with some people here, my dad got me one of his old gaming laptops for Christmas because of my first year of college. It's a dell xps 17 9720, with a 3060 gpu. I'm super grateful, but when I started playing Halo infinite a medium settings I only get around 30 fps with some artifacting. It's plugged in and the settings are on the deciated gpu. I haven't had the time yet to test any other games. The only other problem is the audio won't work. Won't work with the speakers, Bluetooth, headphones, none of it will work. Any tips of what's going on? I really appreciate what my dad did for me, and just need these two problems fixed. Thanks in advance!
