gcse drama

i'm starting section 2 in january where you have to perform a piece from a play im a big musical theatre fan and wanted to do a extract from any musical as i would be more interested and likely to understand it but my teacher said it's not possible i've googled it and with the exam board the school is with (eduqas) it doesn't say can anyone help
