Much faster than my Convoy Partner

Edit: FIXED!! Turns out that they had a switch on the back of the controller that limited the trigger movement, something we wouldn'tve checked were it not for u/Skullthrash and u/Hachi2JZ down in the comments! But legit, thanks to everyone who commented!

Hey guys, Title says it all really - even using the exact same car, I'm much faster than my convoy partner/Leader, does anyone know what the hell's going on with that?
