Will a respray hurt the resale value?

I want to fix the rust and completely respray this 1997 nl fairlane ghia, it's got 189593klms, if I respray this a non factory colour, like fantasy purple that's on the b series falcons, will I expect to be selling this for less, or more money than the market value
