A little over 2 years.

My wife and I bought our 1st home 2 years ago this past October. We paid 97000, and our interest rate is 4.75%. So happy we bought when we did.

It is a 3 bed 2 full baths, with a dry basement ans 1.5 detached car garage. We got a inspection and everything came back good. Even with that we have found several things that just make us scratch our heads and wonder what the eff were the previous owners thinking when they did what they did.

It is a great feeling finally owning a home, after 3 we put offers in on that were a minimum 10k above asking and got turned down.

For everyone wanting and wishing to buy your 1st house, keep at it, it will work out when it's meant too! We got really discouraged after loosing out on 3 homes, but finally found the one we bought 2 blocks from where we were renting! Talk about amazing. Kids didn't have to switch school districts and we were still very close to the friends we made from renting.
