Can I get a large item weighed without immediately shipping it?

I have a product to sell, but it is fairly larger, a wooden chest. Its 25L x 13-1/2"W x 17-1/2H. I don't know the density or any of that and don't have a large scale. Though a bit awkward to get a grip, weight-wise I can easily carry it on my own. If I brought it into a FedEx store, can I have it weighed so that I know how to factor it for selling, without immediately shipping it. Or will FedEx only weigh it if I intend on shipping it during that visit?
