Any stories in which the characters take a hard and serious exam? Or just suffer from school?

Hey guys. Is there any fantasy story in which people take a huge exam? I can only think of the beginning of The Poppy War. Or I'm open to suggestions where students just suffer from school too.

The reason why I'm asking is because as in many Asian countries, we also have a university exam in my country, everyone takes it at the same time and you're responsible for 4 years of knowledge, and it's very serious. I took mine this year and everyone agrees that it was the hardest one in this system so far. A chemical engineer said they could only answer 3 out of 13 chemistry questions. So as you might guess I also died and sat down to cry and am unable to feel joy anymore.
