Discussion on perhaps the most contentious topic for the show! Be warned.

So I just had a thought, isn't it quite literally impossible for Shady Sands to be nuked in 2277?

We know from Maximus that he was a kid when it happened, personally I think he looked around six-seven in the flashback scenes. If we presume he's the youngest at around six or five then he'd be roughly 24 in the show which doesn't seem quite accurate to me given he is shown attending the same lessons as literal children in the first episode?

Personally again, I think he looks around 19-20 in the show and in that case he'd only be either one years old or newborn during the nuking of Shady Sands which I'm sure we can all agree isn't his age in the flashbacks.

So, I'm not sure if this is just my brain trying to cope but wouldn't it mean that Shady Sands gets nuked at a later date? The chalkboard scene only says that Shady Sands fell in 2277 not destroyed, what if in 2277 Shady Sands was no longer the capital of the NCR?

I may just be coping alot lol but If anyone does have Maximus' canon age that'd be appreciated and could help clear this up.
