The inconvenience the government is creating is becoming unbearable for the middle classes.

I am currently in Jimma, visiting my family for the holidays. I’ve always used bajajs to travel to and from the airport. However, when I arrived this time, I was surprised to find that there are no bajajs allowed at the airport like before.

Now, as I’m returning, I took a bajaj, but it dropped me off about 1 km away from the airport. I have to pay separately for another ride to get to the airport. The car won’t start unless it’s full, and I’ll have to pay the entire amount just for 1 km, or my only other option is to walk. It’s really frustrating.

I don’t understand who benefits from restricting bajajs from entering the airport. We are not just there. Jimma is a small, calm, and comfortable city. I love bajajs, they’re practical, especially since we don’t have great roads. The government needs to put an end to this nonsense of forcing artificial growth.

Don’t get me wrong this is one of the many inconveniences the government has caused just to appear modern, artificially. It’s just sad and can’t imagine what the poor is going through.
