any bipolar, schizophrenic, or schizoaffective fans?
Hi all, I’m a new Ethel Cain fan. Listened to her music for the first time a couple days ago and I’m so addicted. I was just wondering if there are any other bipolar, schizophrenic, or schizoaffective fans out there that feel a connection to her music based on experience with psychosis. Personally I’ve struggled with a lot of religious delusion in manic episodes (God complex, ascending to heaven and whatnot) and something about her music feels so safe to me. I don’t know enough about her or the body of work yet to fully put it into words, though. Something about her not being afraid to get dark. Just wanted to know if there are others who could provide their perspective if similar to mine, maybe song recs I would find particularly meaningful.
Ty!
Edit: I realize that other mental illnesses can induce psychosis—don’t mean to exclude anyone!
