Ptolemaea is child’s play compared to the songs on Pervert
I thought Ptolemaea was a dark, twisted song (in the best way possible, and it still is) but wow this album is so creepy and it’s really grown on me after a few iterations of listening. Punish is still my favorite song but Onanist and Etienne are also such beautiful songs. Houseofpsychoticwomn might take the cake for the creepiest Ethel song (must be listened to with headphones). Amber waves is the perfect ending (loveeee this song). Looking up the lyrics and the meaning behind the songs to add to the mastery of it all. I hate to say this but if you don’t understand the Ethel Cain lore, you won’t understand this album.
