Aerial view of a cyclist in the mountains
I've worked on this one off and on for approximately 2-3 years. There are some winding roads I love to ride my bike through in the Smokies and Appalachian mountains and I had an idea to do an aerial view of the greenery and the tiny little cyclist (seen in pic #2 - the little black spot) in embroidery form. I also included a picture of the backside because it's a bit bonkers-looking.
Some questions I'm sure will be asked:
How long did this take? I truly don't keep track of the hours I embroider but I know it's A Lot. Definitely in the hundreds.
How many needles did I break doing this? At least five. Possibly more. A few finger guards were also sacrificed.
Are those French knots? Lol some of them might be. I'm bad at them so I like to joke that my version are called Canadian French knots instead.
