Review from a table tennis player (awesome)

Bit of background, I’m a reasonably high level table tennis player. I was in national squads as a junior and continue to play in leagues in Europe semi regularly but not training as much as I did.

First heard about 11TT from a couple of people I train with, last weekend I bought the quest 3S to try it.

First off, the game is absolutely fantastic. The bits that stand out to me are residual spin (the spin on a ball from the serve being apparent 2-3 shots later), really cool. Aiming is super accurate, slight changes in racket angle produce the slight changes you’d expect in real life. Pace differentiation, quite obvious but the different levels of speed you’re able to achieve are really cool.

One thing that I think could improve Sometimes the spin feels inconsistent, usually when playing in real life I judge the spin on the ball by the sound the ball makes on the rubber and racket angle of the opponent. I find this a little hard to judge sometimes.

Overall though, this is one of the best video games I’ve ever played. I can tell just from a few days of play I’ll be playing this a lot with a goal to get to the top of the game soon.

Couple of questions How can I stop the boundary bars appearing when attempting a short ball or moving around? How to deal with high ping players?

Current elo: 2200 ( and climbing ;) )
