What is the difference between the pressure test and a rupture valve test?
I work as an account manager and I’m pretty new to the elevator industry (1.5 years as an intern selling service contracts and 2 months as full time account manager).
Recently the superintendent I work with has been having me propose Rupture Valve Tests to a lot of my customers. He said the state started requiring them 2 years ago and they aren’t covered under the service agreement.
Thing is from what I can gather it sounds exactly like the annual pressure test (which would be covered). Do any of you know what the difference is? I want to know so that I can actually explain it to my customers.
