What the best/ideal way to clean a scooter?

This is just a general enquiry to find out how people wash or clean their scooters.

I am originally a biker so I have a power washer for everyday use that I also use to clean my Harley.

With these scooters being questionably water resistant, I'd love to hear how you guys keep your scooters clean and maintained in general. Hopefully we can all learn a tip or 2 about maintenance we didn't already know.
